How to Export Stems from BandLab
1. Prepare Your Session
Before exporting, do a quick "housekeeping" check:
Name your tracks: Change "Track 1" to something descriptive like "Lead Vocal" or "Main Synth."
Check for Clipping: Ensure your individual tracks aren't hitting the red.
Decision Time (Effects): If your effects (reverb, delay) are part of your "sound," leave them on. If you want a clean mix, turn off the internal BandLab FX.
2. Exporting on Desktop (Recommended)
The desktop browser version is the most reliable way to handle large file exports.
Open your project in the Mix Editor.
Go to the top menu and click File.
Select Download, then choose Tracks.
BandLab will package each individual track into a .zip file containing high-quality .wav files.
3. Exporting on Mobile (iOS/Android)
If you're on the go, you can still grab your stems:
Open the project and tap the Revision Square (the icon that looks like stacked pages).
Tap on the specific revision you want to export.
Tap Download (the downward arrow icon).
Select Export Tracks. This will save the individual layers to your device's files.
